UC Merced Campus Visits
ALL CAMPUS VISITS SHOULD NOW CHECK IN AT THE UC MERCED VISITORS CENTER.
UC Merced guided tours are available by reservation. Tours consist of a 75 minute walking tour led by a student tour guide. To make a reservation, contact the Office of Admissions/Relations with Schools & Colleges at (209) 228-6316 or toll free in California at (866) 270-7301 or register online (see below).
Schedule
Monday through Friday - 10:00 a.m, 1:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. and designated Saturdays at 12:00 p.m PST.
(Excludes major holidays).
Regular Student Tours
Regular Student Tours are for students and their families who wish to visit the university. You will join other visiting students and their families on a student led tour of the UC Merced campus. In order to make your visit a memorable one, our tours provide a 20:1 visitor to tour guide ratio.

Group Tours
Schools, community colleges, or community-based organizations wishing to schedule a campus visit should download and complete the Group Visit Request Form and email it to tours@ucmerced.edu, or fax it to (209) 228-4637. Please allow 7-10 days for confirmation and arrival directions.

Transfer Student Workshops
A transfer admissions workshop is available for large group tours. The workshop provides a general overview of transfer admissions preparation, eligibility, and selection criteria. Lower-division major preparation and information on selective majors will be provided. Application timelines, deadlines, and requirements are also covered.
The Office of Admissions does not provide official, formal transcript evaluation, nor does it provide transfer credit reviews.
Transfer student workshops are scheduled by appointment only. To schedule a transfer student workshop please contact Lorena Calderon at (209) 228-6316 .
Transfer Student Appointments
Transfer appointments provide students with the opportunity to meet one-on-one with an admissions officer and discuss their individual academic record.
Reservations are required at least one week in advance. Schedule an appointment by contacting Shavon English at 209-228-4258 senglish@ucmerced.edu.
Information for Arrival
Upon arrival to campus, please check in at the Visitors Center located on Scholars Lane in the Terrace Center. 5200 North Lake Road, Merced, CA 95343.
If you are scheduled for a campus tour, please park in the reserved visitors center parking spaces located in Lake Lot. A parking permit for the designated spaces are available upon your arrival at the Visitor Center. If all spaces are full, please purchase a parking permit from the yellow dispensers to avoid ticketing. The parking fees are as follows: $2 - up to 2 hours,$3 - up to 4 hours, $4 - up to 6 hours, and $6 - up to one day.

FROM SOUTH HIGHWAY 99
Head north on Highway 99 to Merced and take ‘G’ Street exit. Turn right onto ‘G’ Street, heading north. Proceed on ‘G’ Street through several major intersections. Turn right on Yosemite Avenue. Turn left on Lake Road. Proceed approximately one mile to the campus.
FROM NORTH HIGHWAY 99
Head south on Highway 99 to Merced and take the Martin Luther King Street exit. Turn left onto Martin Luther King Street, heading north. Turn right on 16th street. Turn left on ‘G’ Street and proceed through several major intersections. Turn right on Yosemite Avenue. Turn left on Lake Road. Proceed approximately one mile to the campus.
