UC Merced Campus

Virtual Tours

As the first research university built in the 21st Century, UC Merced’s commitment to the pursuit of innovation is unlike any other.

In true Bobcat fashion, we nimbly respond to circumstances that impact students and our community, such as not being able to share our beautiful campus with you in person when necessary. When on-site tours are not available or anytime you want to take a casual virtual stroll, we invite you to engage with us and get a bird's-eye view of campus.

Embark on a journey to imagine yourself at UC Merced.

This drone tour provides details about the first three residence halls to welcome students on campus: Valley Terraces, Sierra Terraces, and the Summits, each with their own style. You'll also get to see the recreation fields, including Bobcat Field, and receive a brief introduction to the exciting Merced 2020 campus expansion project.

In this tour, you'll get a glimpse of the Pavilion and our newest residence halls, Glacier Point and Granite Pass. You'll also learn more about the Kolligian Library and find out about the Classroom and Office Buildings 1 and 2, the Student Services Building, and the Science and Engineering Buildings 1 and 2. In addition, you'll get an introduction to the Central Plant that is crucial in supporting UC Merced's ambitious sustainability goals.

This drone tour expands on the Merced 2020 project and describes the gym facilities on campus -- the Joseph Edward Gallo Recreation and Wellness Center and the Student Activities and Athletics Center (SAAC). It also gives you an overview of the Kolligian Library and the services that are available there.

This tour gives you a great chance to see the Science and Engineering Buildings 1 and 2, as well as the Biomedical Sciences and Physics Building (construction is nearing completion). It also covers two new academic spaces, the Arts and Computational Sciences Building and the Sustainability Research and Engineering Building. The tour ends where a UC Merced student's journey on campus starts -- The Beginnings Statue in the Carol Tomlinson-Keasey Quad.
